ArtistaToTs offers an art-based preschool program for children ages three to five.

Located in the charming historic Hollywood/Rose City neighborhood, ArtistaToTs encourages your child to explore their creativity through painting, music, imagination, and play. This unique learning experience launches young children into a lifelong love and appreciation of art.

The fundamentals of Art

Through various activities such as painting, drawing and sculpture; preschoolers will gain a sense of artistry by learning the fundamental elements of art – line, color, shape and texture. This encourages the manipulative stage of art development in children and allows preschoolers to express themselves through their beginning art skills.

Art Appreciation

Art history and children’s literature plays a major role in introducing elements of art. Children will be introduced to famous artwork. They will spend time viewing each other’s artwork and will be encouraged to discuss their piece. The children will share how they used various materials to create their art. This encourages self-confidence as well as communication skills.

Art Creation

Art creation and exploration is a major focus at ArtistaToTs. Children are encouraged to explore their creativity through hands-on art experiences that provide the opportunity to gain essential early learning skills. Social skills such as cooperative play, sharing, and friendship are encouraged and nurtured. Creating art with recycled materials is incorporated into our weekly schedule (recycled art studio). Students will appreciate how found and recycled objects can be made into art.
